The only Spanish illustrator in the exhibition is Eugenia Alejos. She also uses photography in her work, playfully refers to her 3D collages as ‘organised chaos’, combining texture, fabrics and bold brush-strokes to achieve a multi-dimensional effect. Her recent menswear collection, “A dixit”, is a minimalist mosaic of past and the present.

About the Designer

Eugenia is based in Madrid, Spain. Her collections are produced in Spain.

Born in april of 1987, Spain. Eugenia Alejos is an independent illustration based in Madrid. She graduated with honours (BA) in the High School of fashion in Burgos. The last year she specialized in new techniques of illustration and new fabric technologies, in ESAD in Oporto with honours.
She has been working as on her own line, {Eugenialejos}. Her name is associated with perfect finish with best quality fabrics. Exquisite creations of this designer are complemented by accessories as well as shoes designed and made by her. The minimalistic pieces are small scale artwork reinterpreting past and present culture with a depurated style. Installations, unique pieces and limited edition collections complete the label. Currently she mixes her passion for design with the illustration. Last July in Porto-Portugal, She presented their last collage show “You don´t need a computer to make a poster”.
Today She paint using extreme abstraction with perhaps the suggestion of a horizon line, as well as subject relating to places I´ve been. Recreating the 2D layers appears in an abstract form, as well as various surfaces. The viewer is drawn into compositions that I see, imagine, and feel.
In beetween may-april of 2012 she show her new collection of illustration in the exhibition “Go figure: new fashion illustration” at the Fashion College of London with the curater Ligaya Salazar, curator of ontemporany Programmes at the V&A museum.
It´s producing art that makes Eugenia´s life complete, as she constantly paints and make collages to experience balance in her life. Refreshing his mind with new ideas. Eugenia is always looking forward to her next illustration.

Carmen Ortiz Fraile, alumna titulada en la Escuela de Arte y Superior de Diseño de Burgos en los estudios de Ciclo Superior de Artes Aplicadas a la Madera y en Ciclo de Grado Medio de Dorado y Policromía, se encuentra trabajando con un equipo de expertos europeos en Bucarest.

Están restaurando, un edificio histórico en el centro de la ciudad.

La empresa para la que trabajan se llama LA.R.A Restauri de Pietramontecorvino – Foggia, Italia_. Esta empresa está  activa desde 1989, fundada para dos hermanos que se formaron y empezaron en Florencia. Alfonso Basile es el director técnico de la Assorestauri, Asociación Italiana para la Restauración.

Trabajan en Italia y desde unos años se estan moviendo fuera del país (Istambul, Malta, Bucarest).
